Ingredients

For the BBQ Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1/4 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for glazing)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

For the Sweet Potato Fries:

2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish (like rosemary or parsley)

Instructions

Prepare the Meatballs:

    - In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

      - Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a platter.

        Preheat the Air Fryer:

          - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

            Cook the Meatballs:

              - Place the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not stick together. You may need to cook them in batches depending on your air fryer size.

                - Lightly brush or spray the meatballs with a bit of oil for a golden crispiness.

                  - Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Brush the meatballs with additional BBQ sauce halfway through cooking.

                    Prepare the Sweet Potato Fries:

                      - In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

                        - Once the meatballs are done, remove them and place the sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

                          Cook the Sweet Potato Fries:

                            - Air fry the fries at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-18 minutes, shaking or flipping them halfway through for even cooking until they are crispy and golden.

                              Finish and Serve:

                                - Once the sweet potato fries are done, serve them alongside the BBQ meatballs. Garnish the fries with fresh herbs if desired, and add extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
