Ingredients

4 medium-sized russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or chives)

Instructions

Begin by washing and peeling the potatoes, then slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.

Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl and cover them with cold water. Soak for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps achieve a crispy texture.

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure all slices are evenly coated.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to allow for even cooking. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cook the potato slices for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking to ensure they brown evenly. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as air fryers can vary in performance.

Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove the slices from the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to maintain crispness while you cook any remaining batches.

Garnish with fresh herbs before serving, if desired.
