Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream

2 large eggs

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the vanilla extract, Baileys Irish Cream, and eggs until well combined. Make sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Using a spatula or wooden spoon, gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans (if using).

Scoop Cookies: Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

Bake: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.

Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
