Ingredients

12 oz spaghetti

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

1/2 cup chopped fresh basil (or 2 tablespoons dried basil)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1 cup cooked Italian sausage or ground beef (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Spaghetti: Boil a large pot of salted water, add spaghetti, and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until smooth and fully combined.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cream cheese mixture to the cooked spaghetti, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated. If using, fold in the cooked Italian sausage or ground beef.

Layer the Spaghetti: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce at the bottom. Add the creamy spaghetti mixture on top and spread evenly. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the spaghetti.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top, followed by the chopped fresh basil.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheeses are bubbly and slightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra touch.
