Ingredients

12 Hawaiian rolls

1 lb sliced cooked ham

8 oz Swiss cheese, sliced

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Rolls: Without separating the rolls, slice the entire tray of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Layer the Ham and Cheese: Evenly distribute the sliced ham over the bottom half of the rolls. Top with the Swiss cheese slices, covering the ham completely.

Top the Rolls: Place the top half of the rolls on the sandwich fillings.

Make the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

Brush the Butter Mix: Pour or brush the buttery mixture over the top of the rolls, ensuring every roll is coated. If using, sprinkle poppy seeds on top for added flavor and texture.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are lightly golden.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Cut along the original lines and serve warm.
