BBQ Chicken Flatbread with Red Onion & Mozzarella

1 large flatbread or naan

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

    Prepare Chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.

      Assemble Flatbread: On a medium baking sheet (or directly on the heated pizza stone), lay the flatbread or naan. Brush the top with olive oil to enhance flavor and crispiness.

        Layer the Ingredients: Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the flatbread. Next, add the thinly sliced red onion on top, followed by evenly sprinkling the shredded mozzarella cheese over everything.

          Bake: Place the assembled flatbread in the oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.

            Garnish: Once cooked, remove the flatbread from the oven. Let it cool for a minute, then sprinkle with fresh cilantro and, if desired, a pinch of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
