Ingredients

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup coconut milk

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for a vegan option

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1-2 tablespoons warm water (to adjust consistency, as needed)

Chopped peanuts and cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Mix Well: Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. You should achieve a thick and creamy mixture.

Adjust Consistency: If the sauce is too thick for your liking, gradually add 1-2 tablespoons of warm water, stirring continuously until the desired consistency is reached. The sauce should be pourable but still thick enough to cling to your dishes.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the sauce and adjust saltiness or sweetness as needed. Add extra soy sauce for saltiness, honey or maple syrup for sweetness, or more crushed red pepper flakes for heat.

Serve or Store: Transfer the sauce to an airtight container if not using immediately. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Just give it a good stir before using, as it may thicken while stored.

Garnish (optional): For a nice presentation, serve with chopped peanuts and fresh cilantro sprinkled on top!
