Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked rice or noodles, to serve

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil (if using), and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well mixed. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are fully covered. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for more flavor).

Sauté the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.

Flip and Cook: Turn the shrimp over and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until they are fully cooked through (they should be opaque and pink). If you have leftover marinade, you can pour it into the skillet for extra flavor and let it reduce for a minute.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the shrimp from heat. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over cooked rice or noodles, spooning any sauce from the skillet on top.

Enjoy: Dig into this sweet and savory dish that perfectly combines the flavors of honey and garlic with succulent shrimp!
