1 fresh baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces

8 oz smoked salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp capers, drained and rinsed

1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

1 lemon, zested and juiced

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: Radish greens or microgreens for garnish

Instructions

Toast the Baguette:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil and toast in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

      Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:

In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, and chives. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined and creamy.

          Assemble the Crostini:

Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each toasted baguette slice. Top each piece with a portion of smoked salmon and a few capers.

              Garnish:

For added freshness and presentation, sprinkle with extra chopped dill or chives, and, if using, add radish greens or microgreens on top.

                  Serve:

Arrange the assembled crostini on a platter and serve immediately or chill briefly before serving for a refreshing appetizer.
