Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

2 cups buttermilk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed and drained)

1/4 cup maple syrup (plus extra for serving)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

Prepare Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.

Add Blueberries: Gently fold in the blueberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour into Baking Dish: Pour the pancake batter into the pre-greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Drizzle the maple syrup over the top.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Dust: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes. If desired, dust with powdered sugar for a touch of sweetness and presentation.

Serve: Cut into squares and serve warm with extra maple syrup drizzled on top.
