Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped

½ cup panko breadcrumbs

2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

    - Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Make the Cheese Sauce:

        - In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the flour and whisk constantly for about 2 minutes until a roux forms and turns a light golden color.

          - Gradually whisk in the whole milk and heavy cream. Continue whisking until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken, about 3-4 minutes.

            Add Cheeses and Seasonings:

              - Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the sharp cheddar and Gruyère cheeses until fully melted and combined.

                - Mix in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sauce is creamy and flavorful.

                  Combine Pasta and Lobster:

                    - Add the cooked macaroni and chopped lobster meat to the cheese sauce. Mix until the pasta and lobster are well coated with the cheesy goodness.

                      Prepare for Baking:

                        - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

                          - Transfer the lobster mac and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish (about 3 quarts). Spread it evenly.

                            Top with Panko:

                              - In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with a drizzle of melted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the mac and cheese for a crunchy topping.

                                Bake:

                                  - Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.

                                    Garnish and Serve:

                                      - Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving for added freshness and color.
