Ingredients

1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped

1 pound ground beef

1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Sauté Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until they are soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

Cook Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes (with their juice), Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let simmer for about 5 minutes to combine the flavors.

Prepare Cabbage: In a large baking dish, layer half of the chopped cabbage on the bottom. Pour half of the beef mixture over the cabbage and spread evenly. Top with the remaining cabbage, followed by the rest of the beef mixture.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, then serve warm.
