Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground chicken

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup fresh chives, finely chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon melted butter

Optional: additional chives for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well-combined.

Prepare Biscuit Dough: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a round disc about 4 inches in diameter.

Fill the Biscuits: Take about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture and place it in the center of each flattened biscuit. Fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling and pinch to seal completely, forming a ball.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the biscuit bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart to allow for rising.

Brush with Egg Wash: Using a pastry brush, apply a thin layer of the beaten egg over the top of each biscuit bomb. This will give them a beautiful golden color as they bake.

Melt Butter: Drizzle or brush the melted butter over each biscuit bomb to enhance flavor and provide extra richness.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Optionally, garnish with additional chopped chives before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm, and enjoy your delicious Cheddar & Chive Chicken Biscuit Bombs as a perfect appetizer or a fun weeknight dinner!
