1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

½ cup cream-style corn

1 cup cornbread mix

½ cup diced green onions (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup milk

2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or a bit of butter.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained corn, cream-style corn, sour cream, ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese, cornbread mix, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.

If using, fold in the diced green onions for an added burst of flavor.

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Top the casserole with the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
