Ingredients

1 loaf of crusty bread (such as Italian or French bread)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted

4 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Using a serrated knife, make cuts in the bread loaf about 1-inch apart, being careful not to cut all the way through the bottom. This should create pull-apart sections while keeping the bottom intact.

Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well combined.

Stuff Cheese Mixture: Gently open the cuts in the bread and use a spoon or pastry brush to generously drizzle the garlic butter mixture into each space. Then, stuff the cheese between the slices, aiming for an even distribution of mozzarella and cheddar.

Wrap in Foil: Once the loaf is fully stuffed, wrap the bread in aluminum foil to keep it moist while baking.

Bake: Place the wrapped loaf on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.

Unwrap and Crisp: After 15 minutes, carefully unwrap the foil and return the bread to the oven. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for a minute or two before serving. Pull apart the pieces of bread and enjoy the gooey cheesy goodness alongside your favorite dipping sauce.
