Ingredients

12 oz wide egg noodles

2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup frozen peas (thawed)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for topping

½ cup milk

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

1 cup crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Tuna Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cooked noodles, frozen peas, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir well to incorporate all ingredients.

Season the Mixture: Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to the mixture. Stir until everything is evenly coated and seasoned.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the tuna noodle mixture into it, spreading it out evenly.

Add Topping: If using, sprinkle the crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs on top of the casserole for a crunchy texture. Sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese on top for extra cheesiness.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
