Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Zest and juice of 2 limes

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lime zest, lime juice, honey, and soy sauce. Toss everything together until the shrimp are well-coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 for deeper flavor.

Preheat Cooking Surface: While the shrimp is marinating, heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot for a few minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: Once the skillet is hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Be careful not to overcook them to maintain a juicy texture.

Season: Taste the shrimp during the last minute of cooking and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed. Cook for another minute if necessary.

Serve: Remove the shrimp from the heat. Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve with lime wedges on the side for extra zest.

Enjoy: This dish is fantastic served warm over a bed of rice or quinoa, in tacos, or on a fresh salad.
