Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

Zest and juice of 1 lime

1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

12 wonton wrappers

Cooking spray or additional olive oil for brushing

1 ripe avocado, diced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, lime zest, lime juice, honey (if using), salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Bake Wonton Cups: Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray. Gently press each wonton wrapper into the muffin cups, making sure to form a cup shape. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat.

Assemble Cups: Once the wonton cups have cooled, fill each cup with a few pieces of cooked shrimp. Top with diced avocado and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

Serve: Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tops.
