Ingredients

1 ½ cups pecan halves

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup light corn syrup

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

½ cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon salt

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and butter together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

Stir in the melted chocolate mixture until fully incorporated.

Fold in the pecan halves gently until they are evenly distributed throughout the filling.

Pour the pecan-chocolate mixture into the unbaked pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. The pie may puff up while baking but will settle as it cools.

Let the pie cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours before slicing to allow the filling to firm up.

Serve as is or with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence!
