Ingredients

For the Brownies:

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon brewed coffee (cooled)

For the Mocha Frosting:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup brewed coffee (cooled)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Optional: chocolate shavings or coffee beans for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Brownies:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth and well-combined.

        - Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and brewed coffee.

          - In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

            - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

              - Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

                - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

                  - Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

                    Make the Mocha Frosting:

                      - In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until creamy.

                        - Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing on low speed until combined.

                          - Pour in the brewed coffee and vanilla extract, adding a pinch of salt. Beat on medium speed until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.

                            - If the frosting is too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.

                              Assemble the Brownies:

                                - Once the brownies have cooled completely, spread a generous layer of mocha frosting on top.

                                  - Optional: garnish with chocolate shavings or whole coffee beans for an extra touch.

                                    - Cut the brownies into squares and serve.

                                      Enjoy!

                                        - Pair these delightful coffee brownies with a cup of your favorite brewed coffee for an indulgent treat.
