Ingredients

3 medium cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon sugar (optional, to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 red onion, finely sliced (optional)

Fresh dill sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Cucumbers: Start by rinsing the cucumbers under cold water. Peel them if you prefer a milder flavor and slice them thinly. Place the sliced cucumbers in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to draw out excess moisture. This helps keep the salad from becoming watery.

Make the Dressing: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, chopped dill, garlic powder, and sugar (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Make sure the dressing is well combined and smooth.

Combine Ingredients: After the cucumbers have drained, gently pat them dry with paper towels. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cucumbers and the finely sliced red onion (if using). Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and toss gently until all the cucumber slices are well coated in the creamy dressing.

Chill: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. It can be made a few hours in advance for an even better taste.

Serve: Before serving, give the salad a gentle stir and taste for seasoning. Adjust with more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired. Garnish with fresh dill sprigs on top for an attractive presentation.
