Ingredients

1 large store-bought flatbread or 2 smaller ones

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)

Optional toppings: cooked chicken, sautéed mushrooms, or spinach

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Make the Alfredo Sauce:

      - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

        - Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

          - Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.

            - Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Keep stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

              Prepare the Flatbread:

                - Place the flatbread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

                  - Spoon a generous amount of the creamy Alfredo sauce over the flatbread, spreading it evenly while leaving a small border around the edges.

                    Add Cheese and Toppings:

                      - Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the Alfredo sauce.

                        - If using optional toppings like cooked chicken, sautéed mushrooms, or spinach, add them now for added flavor and texture.

                          Bake:

                            - Place the prepared flatbread in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                              Garnish and Serve:

                                - Once out of the oven, let it cool for a minute before garnishing with the freshly chopped parsley or basil. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
