Ingredients

6 corn tortillas

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Tortillas: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

Coat the Tortillas: Take each corn tortilla and lightly brush both sides with the oil and spice mixture. Ensure they're evenly coated for maximum crispiness.

Shape the Tortillas: Carefully fold each tortilla in half to form a taco shell shape. You can use a taco holder or place a crumpled piece of aluminum foil inside the air fryer's basket to help maintain the shape while cooking.

Air Fry the Shells: Place the shaped tortillas into the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching. If your air fryer is small, you may need to do this in batches. Spray lightly with cooking spray for extra crispiness.

Cooking Time: Air fry the tortillas for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them to avoid burning.

Cool and Serve: Once done, remove the taco shells from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

Fill and Enjoy: Fill your crispy taco shells with your favorite ingredients like seasoned ground beef, grilled chicken, beans, lettuce, cheese, and salsa. Enjoy your delicious, homemade crispy air-fried taco shells!
