Ingredients

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup panko bread crumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Olive oil spray (or cooking spray)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Start by placing each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, gently pound the chicken to an even thickness (about ½ inch). This ensures they cook evenly and remain tender.

Set Up a Breading Station: In a shallow dish, add the flour. In another dish, whisk the eggs until well-beaten. In a third dish, combine panko bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Bread the Chicken: Dredge each chicken cutlet first in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s completely coated. Finally, press the chicken into the seasoned panko mixture, making sure it's fully covered and pressing down lightly for better adhesion.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.

Prepare for Air Frying: Lightly spray both sides of the breaded chicken cutlets with olive oil spray. This step is crucial for achieving a golden and crispy texture.

Air Fry the Cutlets: Place the chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary (do not overcrowd). Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) is reached.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken cutlets from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.
