Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenderloins

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup cornflake crumbs

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Cooking spray (or olive oil spray)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, soak the chicken tenderloins in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight in the refrigerator). This will help tenderize the chicken and add flavor.

Prepare the Coating: In a separate shallow dish, combine the flour, cornflake crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.

Coat the Chicken: Remove each tenderloin from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge the chicken in the flour and cornflake mixture, pressing it onto the chicken to ensure a good coating. Set aside on a plate.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. This helps achieve that perfect crispiness.

Spray with Oil: Lightly spray the coated chicken tenders with cooking spray. This will help them become golden brown and crispy while cooking.

Air Fry the Chicken: Arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they aren’t overcrowded to allow for even cooking. You may need to do this in batches.

Cook: Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden, crispy, and has an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serve: Once cooked, remove the tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ketchup, barbecue sauce, or honey mustard!
