Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce

For the Chicken Tenders:

1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Olive oil spray or cooking spray

For the Dipping Sauce:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken strips, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight for more flavor).

    Prepare the Breading: In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. In another dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese.

      Bread the Chicken: Remove the chicken strips from the marinade, allowing any excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each strip in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess, then dip into the buttermilk again, and finally coat with the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
