Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken tenders with buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Ensure the chicken is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix the flour, panko breadcrumbs, dried oregano, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Coat the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the buttermilk marinade, shaking off any excess liquid. Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to ensure adherence, and then dip into the flour mixture once more for a double coating. Place the coated tenders on a plate.

Spray and Cook: Lightly spray the chicken tenders on both sides with cooking spray. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to work in batches). Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy, with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Make the Honey Mustard Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste if necessary.

Serve: Once the chicken tenders are done, serve them warm with the honey mustard sauce for dipping. Enjoy your deliciously crispy air fryer chicken tenders!
