Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken tenderloins to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).

Prepare the Dredging Station: In one shallow dish, place the all-purpose flour. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs until smooth. In a third dish, add the breadcrumbs.

Dredge the Tenders: Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge each tender in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cook the Tenders: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated chicken tenders in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Lightly spray the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Make the Honey Mustard Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well combined. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Serve warm with the honey mustard dipping sauce on the side.
