Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons buffalo sauce (adjust based on spice preference)

1 teaspoon ranch seasoning mix

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Chickpeas: After rinsing the chickpeas, spread them out on a clean kitchen towel and gently pat them dry. This is key for achieving crispiness. If desired, remove the skins for an extra crunch.

Season the Chickpeas: In a large bowl, combine the dried chickpeas with olive oil, buffalo sauce, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated.

Arrange for Baking: Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they’re not overcrowded for optimal crunchiness.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through to promote even crisping. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning — they should be golden brown and crispy.

Cool and Serve: Remove the chickpeas from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes (they will continue to crisp as they cool). Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives, if desired. Serve as a snack or a crunchy topping for salads and bowls!
