Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

Add Parmesan: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts and toss again to coat them thoroughly.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down. This will ensure they cook evenly and become crispy.

Roast: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are crispy and golden brown. Halfway through cooking, give them a gentle stir to ensure they crisp up nicely on all sides.

Garnish: Once roasted, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and let them cool slightly. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.

Serve: Serve the crispy garlic Parmesan Brussels sprouts warm, accompanied by lemon wedges for an added zing.
