4 large russet potatoes

1/4 cup olive oil

1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for an extra crunch)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and scrub the russet potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a clean towel. Cut each potato in half lengthwise, and then cut each half into wedges to create about 8 wedges per potato.

      Season the Wedges: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until the spices are well incorporated.

        Coat the Wedges: Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss well until every wedge is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.

          Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overlapping, as this will help them become extra crispy.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the wedges during the last 5 minutes of baking for a crunchy finish.

              Check for Crispiness: After 35 minutes, check the wedges. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. If they need a bit more crisping, you can bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
