Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until fully combined and smooth.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until the mixture is well blended.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined; avoid over-mixing. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Layer with Caramel: Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and then drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce. Use a knife to swirl the caramel into the top layer gently.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the blondies are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

Cool and Sprinkle: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Once slightly cooled, sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top while the caramel is still warm.

Slice and Serve: After the blondies have cooled completely in the pan, lift them out using the parchment paper (if used) and slice them into squares. Serve and enjoy!
