1 cup almonds, roughly chopped

2 cups rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

2 cups dark chocolate chips (optional for drizzling)

Prepare Your Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.

    Toast the Nuts: Spread the chopped pecans and almonds on a baking sheet. Toast them in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are fragrant and slightly golden. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. Once toasted, remove and let them cool.

      Make the Caramel Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, unsalted butter, corn syrup, and sea salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow to boil for about 2 minutes without stirring.

        Combine Ingredients: Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the vanilla extract. In a large mixing bowl, combine the toasted nuts and rice cereal. Pour the caramel mixture over the nut and cereal blend. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
