Ingredients
  

12 sticks of string cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned for extra flavor)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Marinara sauce (for serving, optional)

Prep the Cheese: Cut each string cheese stick in half to create 24 bite-sized pieces.

    Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

      Coat the Cheese: Take a cheese stick, roll it in flour to coat lightly, shake off the excess, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is evenly coated. Repeat with all cheese sticks.

        Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of oil over medium-high heat until hot. You can test the oil by dropping in a few breadcrumbs; they should sizzle instantly.

          Fry the Cheese Bites: Carefully place several coated cheese bites in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.

            Drain the Excess Oil: Once fried, remove cheese bites with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

              Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
