Ingredients

4 cups Rice Chex cereal

1 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Additional crushed freeze-dried strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Prep Your Workspace: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and set aside.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and peanut butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes total.

Add Vanilla: Once the chocolate and peanut butter mixture is smooth, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for added flavor.

Coat the Cereal: In a large mixing bowl, pour the Rice Chex cereal. Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal, gently folding to coat all the pieces evenly.

Add Strawberry Flavor: Sprinkle in the crushed freeze-dried strawberries and fold them into the cereal mixture until well combined.

Coat with Powdered Sugar: Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag. Add powdered sugar, seal tightly, and shake until all pieces are generously coated with the sugary goodness.

Cool and Set: Spread the puppy chow onto the prepared baking sheet and allow it to cool for about 30 minutes. This will help it set and ensure it’s nice and fluffy.

Garnish: Once cool, sprinkle additional crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top for a pop of color and extra strawberry flavor.

Serve and Enjoy: Scoop the fluffy strawberry shortcake puppy chow into bowls or bags for a delightful snack!
