Ingredients

1 bag of Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup of all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup of breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Optional garnishes: sour cream, guacamole, or salsa

Instructions

Prepare the Doritos: Take the Doritos and gently crush them in a large zip-top bag until they are in small to medium-sized pieces but not powder. Set aside.

Make the Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Mix well to create your cheese filling.

Stuff the Doritos: Take a piece of Dorito and place a small spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center. Carefully fold the Dorito to encase the cheese, pinching the edges to seal. Repeat this process until all cheese is used.

Setup a Breading Station: In three separate bowls, prepare the breading stations:

          - In the first bowl, place the flour and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

            - In the second bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.

              - In the third bowl, add the crushed Doritos.

Bread the Stuffed Doritos: Take each stuffed Dorito and coat it in the flour mixture, followed by dipping it in the egg, and finally rolling it in the crushed Doritos to create a crunchy coating. Make sure to press down gently to help the crumbs stick.

Fry the Stuffed Doritos: In a deep skillet or large frying pan, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, gently add the breaded Doritos (in batches if necessary), frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Serve: Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried Doritos from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Garnish and Enjoy: Serve warm with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa on the side for dipping.
