Ingredients

4 ripe bananas

1 cup dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips, if preferred)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (for smoother chocolate)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, or walnuts)

1/2 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional, for topping)

4 wooden popsicle sticks or skewers

Parchment paper (for freezing)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the bananas and slice them in half crosswise. Insert a wooden popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana piece to create a handle.

Line a Baking Sheet: Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet or tray to hold the dipped bananas while they freeze.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Dip the Bananas: Hold each banana by the stick and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Tap off any excess chocolate.

Add Toppings: Immediately roll or sprinkle the chocolate-coated bananas in the chopped nuts and shredded coconut. If desired, sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for a sweet crunch.

Freeze the Pops: Place the coated banana pops on the prepared baking sheet. Transfer the tray to the freezer and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is firm.

Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the pops from the freezer. Enjoy them right away, or store them in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to a month!
