Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup natural almond butter (or any nut butter of choice)

1/4 cup raw cacao powder

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup plant-based protein powder (chocolate flavor recommended)

1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, raw cacao powder, plant-based protein powder, and sea salt. Mix well to ensure there are no clumps.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly combined. The mixture should be thick, and you may need to use your hands to fully incorporate all ingredients.

If using, fold in the mini dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.

Once the mixture is combined, use your hands to roll tablespoon-sized portions into small balls. Place each ball on a lined baking sheet or plate.

Once all the mixture has been rolled, refrigerate the protein balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Store the balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.
