2 cups rolled oats

1 large apple, finely grated (about 1 cup)

1/3 cup almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

    Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, ground cinnamon, and salt. If you're using nuts or dried fruit, mix them in as well.

      Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the grated apple, almond butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.

        Combine Both Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir everything together until the oats are thoroughly coated and the mixture is combined. It should be somewhat sticky and hold together when pressed.

          Form Bites: Using your hands, scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, pressing them slightly to flatten.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and firm to the touch.

              Cool Down: Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
