Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

6 strips of bacon, chopped

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini)

1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped (optional, for that classic burger tang)

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon mustard powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook Bacon: In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain, leaving the drippings in the skillet.

Brown the Beef: In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the browned beef and onion mixture, cooked bacon, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, half of both cheeses (cheddar and mozzarella), Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir until well combined.

Incorporate Pasta: Fold in the cooked pasta and chopped dill pickles (if using). Make sure the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy mixture.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy the hearty, cheesy goodness with your loved ones!
