Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenders

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Add the chicken tenders to the marinade, ensuring they're well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Prepare the Glaze: After marinating, remove the chicken from the marinade (reserve the marinade for later). In a small saucepan, bring the marinade to a simmer over medium heat. In a separate small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water until smooth, then add this mixture to the marinade. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.

Pan-Fry the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken tenders, cooking them for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

Coat with Glaze: Once the chicken tenders are cooked, reduce the heat to low and pour the thickened glaze over the chicken in the skillet. Toss to coat each tender evenly in the sauce. Allow them to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to absorb more flavor.

Serve: Remove the chicken tenders from the skillet and transfer them to a serving plate. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the skillet over the tenders. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Enjoy: Serve these delectable Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken Tenders hot, with a side of rice, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal!
