Honey Garlic Shrimp Sausage and Broccoli

Ingredients
  

1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 oz Italian sausage, casings removed (or any preferred sausage)

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

4 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

    Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the removed casing Italian sausage. Cook until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside, retaining some drippings in the pan.

      Sauté the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender but still crisp.

        Add Shrimp: Push the broccoli to one side of the skillet, and add the shrimp to the other side. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.

          Combine Ingredients: Once the shrimp are cooked, add the sausage back to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture and stir to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize slightly.

            Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top. Serve hot over rice or enjoy on its own!
