Ingredients

For the Dough:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

      Mix Ingredients:

Once the yeast mixture is bubbly, add the melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually add in the flour while mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

          Let it Rise:

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

              Make the Cream Cheese Filling:

While the dough is rising, in a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.

                  Shape the Buns:

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a small ball and then flatten it into a disc. Place a tablespoon of cream cheese filling in the center of each disc, fold the edges over to enclose the filling, and roll it back into a ball.

                      Second Rise:

Place the filled buns seam-side down on a lined baking tray, leaving space between each. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

                          Prepare Garlic Butter:

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Set aside.

                              Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

                                  Bake the Buns:

Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.

                                      Glaze the Buns:

As soon as the buns come out of the oven, brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture.

                                          Serve:

Allow the buns to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the warm, buttery goodness that is irresistibly addictive!
