Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

6 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings become extra crispy.

Prepare the Chicken Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure they crisp up in the oven. In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Toss the wings in this seasoning mix until they are evenly coated.

Bake the Wings: Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they are not touching. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the wings are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).

Toss the Wings: Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss until they are well coated.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the wings for a fresh pop of color. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the wings.
