Ingredients

2 cups cooked macaroni pasta

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray or olive oil spray for greasing

Instructions

Prepare the Mac & Cheese Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and cream cheese. Mix well until the cheeses start to melt together and form a creamy consistency.

      Season:

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Crack in the egg and mix until everything is well combined.

          Shape the Poppers:

Using your hands, take small portions of the mac and cheese mixture (about 1 tablespoon each) and shape them into balls. You should get around 20-24 small balls.

              Coat the Poppers:

In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Roll each mac & cheese ball in the breadcrumb mixture until well coated.

                  Preheat the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. This will ensure that your poppers cook evenly and get that crispy exterior.

                      Air Fry the Poppers:

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated mac & cheese poppers in a single layer in the basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. Spray the top of the poppers lightly with oil for added crispiness.

                          Cooking Time:

Air fry the poppers at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through the cooking time for even cooking.

                              Serve:

Once cooked, remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, like marinara or ranch dressing.
