Ingredients

2 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup sour cream

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

12 slider buns (mini burger buns)

4 strips of crispy cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, or lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.

Mix Hash Brown Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, sour cream, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Form the Sliders: Using your hands, take about 2 tablespoons of the hash brown mixture and shape them into small patties. You should yield around 12 patties.

Bake the Patties: Place the patties onto the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Prepare the Slider Buns: While the hash brown patties are baking, slice the slider buns in half. If desired, you can lightly toast them on a separate baking tray in the oven for a few minutes.

Assemble the Sliders: Once the hash brown patties are done, remove them from the oven. If using bacon, place a patty on each bottom bun, add crumbled bacon on top, and then place the top bun over it.

Garnish and Serve: Garnish the assembled sliders with chopped fresh chives for a pop of color and freshness. Serve the sliders while warm, with your favorite dipping sauces (like ketchup or ranch dressing).
