Ingredients

6 slices of thick bread (such as brioche or challah)

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk (or milk alternative)

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

1/4 cup maple syrup (for drizzling)

Fresh fruits (like banana slices, strawberries, or blueberries)

Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Prepare the Bread: Start by trimming the crusts off the bread slices for a neat appearance. Cut each slice into quarters, creating mini squares. You should have about 24 mini bread pieces.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and optional sugar until fully combined.

Coat the Bread: Dip each mini bread piece into the egg mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly coated but not soaked. Allow any excess to drip off.

Cook the Bread: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray. Place the mini bread pieces in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: For each slider, place one mini French toast piece down, top it with a slice of fruit, and then cap it with another mini French toast piece. You can create multiple layers if desired, making mini stacks.

Drizzle and Serve: Arrange the sliders on a plate. Drizzle with maple syrup, add a dollop of whipped cream if using, and dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately for the best texture.
