Ingredients

24 large cremini or white mushrooms

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crunch)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Clean Mushrooms: Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Remove the stems and set aside, as you will use them in the filling.

Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Chop Mushroom Stems: Finely chop the removed mushroom stems and add them to the cheese mixture. Stir to combine.

Stuff Mushrooms: Using a small spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the creamy filling, pressing down slightly to pack it in.

Prepare Baking Dish: Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a greased baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, if using.

Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy these tasty bites with a sprinkle of additional fresh herbs on top!
