Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup whole milk

3 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Optional: whipped cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.

Add the Eggs and Milk: Crack the eggs into the mixture and add the whole milk. Beat everything together until fully combined.

Incorporate the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the rolled oats, ground cinnamon, and salt. Slowly add this dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Add Nuts: Fold in the chopped pecans (or walnuts) gently, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour into Pie Crust: Carefully pour the oat mixture into the unbaked pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Bake the Pie: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and lightly browned. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with whipped cream if desired.

                  Enjoy your delicious Oatmeal Pie!
