4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 pound asparagus, trimmed

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

Zest and juice of 1 large lemon

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat and Prep:

    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

      Arrange Asparagus:

        Place the trimmed asparagus on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

          Prepare Lemon Butter:

            In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the lemon zest and juice, along with Italian seasoning, and remove from heat.

              Add Salmon:

                Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet next to the asparagus. Brush each fillet generously with the lemon butter mixture and season with salt and pepper.

                  Bake:

                    Bake the salmon and asparagus in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender yet crisp.
